Aly & Fila are an Egyptian trance music duo consisting of Aly El Sayed Amr Fathalah (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila). Known for their uplifting and melodic brand of trance, they have been central figures in the global electronic music scene since the early 2000s. Their partnership began in childhood when they discovered a shared passion for music, eventually leading them to pursue careers as DJs and producers.
Their breakthrough came in 2003 with the track "Eye of Horus," which received heavy support from influential DJs such as Paul Van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. This early success launched their international careers, allowing them to perform at major festivals and clubs around the world. Aly & Fila’s discography includes several acclaimed albums like *Rising Sun*, *Quiet Storm*, *The Other Shore*, and *It’s All About the Melody*, all of which showcase their signature sound and collaborative spirit with many notable vocalists and producers.
Aly & Fila are also widely respected as label owners, having founded Future Sound of Egypt (FSOE) in 2006. The label has grown into a powerhouse for trance and progressive music, supporting new talent and hosting a series of FSOE-branded events and festivals. Their weekly “Future Sound of Egypt” radio show reaches millions of listeners and has cemented their place as ambassadors for Egyptian and Middle Eastern electronic music.
Despite health challenges—Aly has had to limit his touring due to a severe ear injury—the duo continues to produce music together, bringing their emotional, energetic style to fans around the globe.
