Andrew Weatherall (1963–2020) was a pioneering British DJ, producer, and remixer whose trailblazing career left a lasting imprint on electronic music. Emerging from the UK’s late-1980s acid house explosion, Weatherall first gained attention as part of the influential Boy’s Own collective, curating parties and producing a fanzine that shaped the era's club culture. His groundbreaking production work on Primal Scream’s seminal 1991 album *Screamadelica* melded rock, house, dub, and psychedelia, earning critical acclaim and helping to redefine UK dance music.

Throughout the 1990s, Weatherall became an in-demand remixer, reshaping tracks by artists such as New Order, Björk, My Bloody Valentine, and Saint Etienne, always characterized by his unique, genre-blurring approach. As a DJ, Weatherall was celebrated for eclectic and adventurous sets, bridging techno, dub, post-punk, and Balearic sounds, while maintaining residencies at numerous influential clubs. He formed the duo Two Lone Swordsmen with Keith Tenniswood, exploring experimental techno and electronics across multiple albums for the Warp and Rotters Golf Club labels.

His production credits also included work with One Dove, Beth Orton, and Fuck Buttons. Weatherall’s solo output, notably under The Sabres of Paradise and later under his own name, showcased a restless curiosity and musical wit, with releases traversing everything from slow-burning dub to driving post-punk.
