Clouds are a Scottish DJ and producer duo consisting of Calum Macleod and Liam Robertson, hailing from Perth, Scotland. Since their emergence in the early 2010s, Clouds have been recognized for their dense, industrial-leaning approach to techno, blending pulverizing rhythms with imaginative sound design. Their breakthrough came with releases on Turbo Recordings, where they quickly became favorites of label head Tiga and established themselves as key innovators in the UK and European club scenes.

The duo’s productions are marked by raw energy and adventurous textures, ranging from distorted dancefloor tools to more expansive and conceptual works. Their 2013 debut album, "Ghost Systems Rave," showcased their ability to balance fierce club-oriented cuts with atmospheric interludes, earning critical acclaim for its forward-thinking spirit. Clouds later captured the outsider rave aesthetic of post-industrial Scotland with the deeply personal and ambitious "Heavy the Eclipse" album released through Opal Tapes in 2018, presenting a dystopian sonic narrative rooted in their own fictional universe.
