Kornél Kovács grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Hungarian parents, and has become one of the most influential figures in Scandinavian electronic music. He began his journey in the early 2000s as a dedicated record collector and DJ, immersing himself in the city’s underground club scene and landing residencies at some of Stockholm’s most storied venues. Kovács co-founded Studio Barnhus in 2010 with Axel Boman and Petter Nordkvist, a label that quickly gained a reputation for its playful, boundary-pushing releases in house and techno.

His own productions, marked by a distinctive sense of melody, humor, and a deep affinity for the dance floor, began to draw international attention with tracks like "Szikra" and "Pantalón." Kovács’s 2016 debut album *The Bells* was widely praised for its vivid, genre-blending style, cementing his reputation as both an innovative producer and a dynamic DJ. Follow-up albums such as *Stockholm Marathon* continued to showcase his versatility, exploring deeper emotional terrain while maintaining his characteristic rhythmic energy.
