Formed in Bristol, Livity Sound is a pioneering electronic music project helmed by producer Tom Ford, better known as Peverelist. Since its inception in 2011, the project has evolved into a core creative force within the UK underground scene, exploring the intersections of dub, techno, and bass-driven dance music. Livity Sound originally emerged as a collaborative outlet between Peverelist, Kowton (Joe Cowton), and Asusu (Craig Stennett), driven by a shared fascination with rhythm, texture, and sound system culture.
The trio’s innovative approach to production and their eponymous label quickly garnered international acclaim, with their stripped-back and heavyweight rhythms influencing a new wave of dance music. Releases such as “Raw Code / Junked” and “Remixes” series showcased their ability to fuse experimental sound design with undeniable dancefloor energy. Livity Sound’s commitment to visceral, physical experiences has led to dynamic live and DJ performances at venues and festivals around the world, while their label has played a crucial role in nurturing like-minded artists and pushing the boundaries of UK electronic music.
Livity Sound continues to evolve as a platform for both solo works and new collaborations, solidifying its reputation as an ever-relevant and forward-thinking presence in contemporary club culture.
