Moktar is a French-Egyptian electronic music producer and DJ currently based in Australia. Blending intricate percussion, driving club rhythms, and vibrant Middle Eastern tonalities, Moktar’s sound draws deeply from his Egyptian heritage while fusing it with UK techno, breaks, and modern club music. Breaking onto the scene with his self-titled debut EP in 2021, Moktar quickly gained recognition for his boundary-pushing tracks like “Silk” and “Lemon,” which earned acclaim from tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1, NTS, Boiler Room, and Resident Advisor.
