Sven Väth, born in 1964 in Obertshausen, Germany, is a pioneering figure in the global electronic music scene. His journey began in the early 1980s when he co-founded the legendary club Dorian Gray in Frankfurt, quickly establishing himself as a charismatic and innovative DJ. Väth became a central figure in the development of Germany’s electronic sound, fusing techno, trance, and house influences.

His seminal work as a producer, including hits like “Electrica Salsa” with the group OFF and defining albums such as "An Accident in Paradise," earned him international acclaim. In 1996, he founded the Cocoon event series and record label, creating a global platform for underground electronic artists and cultivating a thriving club culture, especially through iconic residencies in Ibiza. Known for marathon DJ sets and an unwavering dedication to vinyl, Väth’s career spans over four decades, marked by relentless innovation, a visionary approach to nightlife, and a passionate advocacy for electronic music as an art form.
