Alain Macklovitch, known professionally as A-Trak, is a Canadian DJ, turntablist, record producer, and label executive. Born on March 30, 1982, in Montreal, Quebec, he gained early acclaim by winning the DMC World DJ Championship at age 15, the youngest ever to do so. Renowned for his technical skill and versatility, A-Trak became a member of Kanye West’s touring lineup, serving as his personal tour DJ and contributing to Kanye’s acclaimed albums.

Beyond his work with Kanye West, A-Trak co-founded the influential record label Fool’s Gold Records in 2007, which played a pivotal role in launching the careers of artists like Kid Cudi and Danny Brown. He is also one half of the acclaimed electronic duo Duck Sauce, alongside Armand Van Helden, best known for their global hit “Barbra Streisand.” A-Trak’s eclectic discography spans hip-hop, electronic, and dance genres, marked by his innovative remix work for artists such as Daft Punk, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Justice.

Throughout his career, A-Trak has continued to push creative boundaries, bridging the worlds of hip-hop and electronic music, performing at major festivals worldwide, and advocating for the art of DJing.
