Dense & Pika are a British electronic music duo comprised of Alex Jones and Chris Spero (who is also known under his solo alias, Glimpse). Emerging from the UK’s rich underground techno scene, the duo carved their reputation through a string of raw, energetic EPs and remixes that blend techno’s pounding rhythms with unconventional textures and hooks. Their breakthrough came with releases on Scuba’s Hotflush Recordings, where tracks like “Colt” and “Vomee” became mainstays in clubs and festivals worldwide.

Known for their powerhouse DJ sets and distinctively analogue live performances, Dense & Pika have built a broad fanbase spanning techno purists and crossover dance music audiences. Their production style is characterized by dense, driving beats, twisted samples, and an unpolished edge that preserves the spontaneity of their creative process. In addition to Hotflush, they’ve released music on labels such as Drumcode, Hypercolour, and their own Kneaded Pains imprint, which has evolved into a respected platform for new and established techno artists.
