Born in Rome, Freddy K (real name Alessandro Soresini) first became involved with the city's underground scene in the early 1990s. Inspired by the raw energy and rebellious ethos of techno culture, he co-founded the influential radio show *Virus*—a project that laid the foundation for his future influence on Italy’s rave movement. He went on to co-run the acclaimed underground label Key Records, spotlighting rising and established talent across Europe, and honed his distinctive sound as a resident at legendary parties and clubs throughout Italy.

Moving to Berlin in the 2010s, Freddy K cemented his status as an international DJ renowned for marathon sets—celebrated for their energy, narrative, and deep dive into techno's roots and possibilities. His pivotal role as longtime resident and regular fixture at Berghain furthered his reputation, with sets known for their heads-down intensity and unexpected twists. As founder of Key Vinyl, he not only champions new artists but maintains a fiercely independent and purist ethos.
