London-based DJ and producer HAAi, born Teneil Throssell in Australia, has carved a unique space in the electronic music landscape with her genre-distinctive sound and high-energy performances. Raised in a small mining town in Western Australia, she moved to London in her early twenties, immersing herself in the vibrant music scene. HAAi’s early musical influences were diverse, ranging from psychedelic rock to traditional Turkish and Thai music, elements of which have infused her productions with leftfield textures and hypnotic rhythms.

Throssell’s path to electronic music began with the psych-rock band Dark Bells before she gravitated toward DJing, quickly gaining prominence as the resident DJ at London’s legendary Phonox nightclub between 2016 and 2018. There, her marathon Sunday sets attracted a devoted following, cementing her reputation for eclectic selections and infectious groove. HAAi’s breakthrough came with a series of critically acclaimed EPs on labels such as Coconut Beats, featuring a sound that spanned techno, world music, and percussive bass.

She has since performed at leading festivals and iconic clubs such as Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, and Berghain, established her own label Radical New Theory, and released her debut album "Baby, We’re Ascending" in 2022 to widespread praise.
