Mladen Solomun, better known as Solomun, was born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1975 and moved to Hamburg, Germany, as a child. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the contemporary house and techno scene. Solomun began his musical journey working in film editing and later co-founded the renowned Hamburg-based club Ego in 2005, which quickly became a hub for electronic music lovers.

In 2006, Solomun launched his record label, Diynamic Music, whose forward-thinking releases have been pivotal in shaping modern house music. The label introduced and nurtured numerous talents while serving as a creative haven for Solomun’s own productions. His signature style blends deep, melodic house with rich, emotive grooves, earning him acclaim both as a producer and a DJ.

Solomun’s breakthrough came with a series of highly successful releases, including “Kackvogel,” “Friends,” and acclaimed remixes for artists like Noir & Haze, Foals, Leonard Cohen, and Lana Del Rey. His remix of Noir & Haze’s “Around” was named “Remix of the Year” by Resident Advisor in 2011 and became an anthem on dancefloors worldwide. A fixture at Ibiza, Solomun famously helmed his own ‘Solomun+1’ residency at Pacha, inviting legendary artists to perform in a unique back-to-back format.

His marathon DJ sets at festivals and clubs across the globe are celebrated for their emotional depth, careful curation, and ability to connect with crowds. Solomun has been awarded numerous DJ accolades, including DJ Awards’ “Best Producer” and “Best Deep House DJ.” With decades of experience and a tireless commitment to his craft, Solomun remains a defining force in dance music.
