Caspa, born Gary McCann in London, United Kingdom, is a pioneering figure in the dubstep genre known for his influential productions, energetic DJ sets, and role in shaping the sound of UK bass music. Emerging in the early 2000s, Caspa quickly became a key player in the nascent dubstep scene, helping to define its subterranean sound with deep basslines, syncopated rhythms, and an unmistakable sense of atmosphere. He is the founder of the influential Dub Police label, which has been instrumental in launching and nurturing the careers of numerous major artists in the genre.
