Surusinghe

Surusinghe, born in Naarm (Melbourne) and currently based in London, has quickly established herself as an influential force in contemporary club music. Drawing from her Sri Lankan heritage and formative years immersed in Melbourne’s vibrant dance scene, Surusinghe explores the intersection of bass-driven electronics, UK techno, global percussion, and experimental club rhythms. Her sets are characterized by an irreverent energy, blending high-intensity blends with an off-kilter, driving finesse.

Surusinghe made her production debut in 2022 with "CCL/L4" on the revered Steel City Dance Discs label, which introduced her distinct sound—playful, percussive club music with nods to electro, breakbeat, and dubby textures. She followed up with the acclaimed "Get Flutey" EP, earning praise from notable selectors and dancefloors for its percussive depth and infectious eccentricity. Her DJing prowess has been showcased at renowned venues and festivals such as Glastonbury, Dekmantel, and Primavera Sound, alongside regular appearances at fabric (London), De School (Amsterdam), and a slot on BBC Radio 1’s Residency program.

As a curator, Surusinghe remains committed to pushing boundaries and championing underrepresented voices within the global dance community. Her rapidly expanding discography, innovative sets, and growing international following mark her as one of club music’s most exciting new talents.
