Tristan da Cunha is a respected figure in the underground house music scene, known for his deeply rooted musical knowledge and infectious energy behind the decks. Hailing from Leeds, UK, he has been actively shaping club culture since the late 1990s, earning his reputation through passion, technical skill, and a connoisseur’s ear for groove-driven sounds. Tristan first made his mark as a resident at the legendary Back to Basics club, where his marathon sets helped define the celebrated party’s sound.
Over the years, he became synonymous with the UK's modern house movement, sharing booths with leading lights from Chicago, Detroit, and across Europe. His broad tastes span classic US house and techno, UK underground flavors, garage, electro, acid, and soul, all threaded together with his signature, floor-focused flair. Alongside his acclaimed solo career, Tristan is one half of Dungeon Meat with Brawther—a project dedicated to “making bodies jack and heads roll” with raw, uncompromising club music.
Their releases on Dungeon Meat Records and other imprints have become anthems in the hands of celebrated selectors worldwide. Tristan also co-founded the pioneering “inner circle” party in Leeds and regularly hosts his own events and radio shows, always pushing fresh talent and timeless records. Despite a demanding international schedule, he maintains strong ties to his roots, regularly playing back home while touring iconic venues and festivals such as Houghton, fabric, DC10, Panorama Bar, Gottwood, and Sunwaves.
Tristan’s commitment to vinyl culture, deep crate-digging, and party-starting charisma ensure his sets are always memorable—balancing euphoria, education, and an unpretentious love of the dancefloor.
